Nurse Aide I online hybrid course allows the student to work at own pace in obtaining instructional materials on line and still providing hands on experience to better prepare one to work as a professional nurse aide with confidence. Students will complete a total of 176 hours inclusive of online class, laboratory, and clinical experiences obtained in long term care facilities consistent with the standards of practice as directed by the NC Division of health and human Services encompassing the knowledge and skills required under the Omnibus Budget reconciliation Act ( OBRA) . Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam for listing on the NC Nurse Aide Registry.
